Kingfisher Tours scenic flights are conducted in single engine, high winged aircraft with varying passenger capacities. These aircraft are best suited for high visibility however twin engine aircraft are available on request. Flight times may vary depending on aircraft and prevailing winds at various altitudes.
Courtesy customer on-ground transfers to and from your Kununurra accommodation are available so please confirm at time of booking.
Aircraft are fitted with headsets to enable a detailed and personalised commentary by your pilot on all flights.
Chilled bottled water is provided on all flights (as well as other refreshments depending on which tour is booked).
Take home souvenirs are also provided, including caps, information booklets, stickers, and other items (subject to seasonal availability).
Ground tours are provided by third party operators. These operators are selected for the quality and professionaism of their services however Kingfisher Tours takes no responsibility for cancellations or omissions as their capacity and circumstances are beyond our control.
Some tours require minimum passenger numbers which will determine the availability of the tour. Maximum numbers will vary depending on availability of aircraft, or capacity of ground tour vehicles and accommodation.
Kingfisher Tours will provide every possible assistance to mobility impaired passengers. Please advise the type of assistance that would be required when making a booking.
Wheelchair access is available from Kingfisher’s terminal to the apron and wheelchairs may be carried in the aircraft, provided that they are collapsible.
Infants are 2 years old or under, and may travel on their parent’s or guardian’s lap with a special seatbelt attachment. Infants travel free if seated with a parent or guardian.
Children are aged 3 to 12 years of age inclusive.
All passengers 13 years of age and over are considered adults, are seated accordingly, and are charged an adult fare.
There are legal and safety requirements regarding the operating weight of an aircraft and accurate passenger weights must be provided at the time of booking. (Inaccurate weights provided can cause delays, inconvenience, or cancelled bookings)
Passengers on Scenic Flights only should generally limit themselves to 2kg of carry-on baggage due cabin space restructions.
Passengers on our Fly/Drive/Stay packages may carry up to 10kg of luggage (preferrably in soft bags). Large and bulky suitcases cannot be carried in most light aircraft. Kingfisher offers secure storage for excess baggage while on tour.
Passengers are requested to arrive at the aircraft departure point 30 minutes prior to the nominated departure time. This enables sufficient time for our aircrew to check the payload, finalise flight preparations, load the aircraft, outline the route and sights of the tour and provide a safety brief.
Pilots will advise passengers of the latest time of departure from remote airfields. Delays in departure may result in aborted flights and additional costs for accommodation etc.
Bookings are only confirmed once payment is received in full.
Cancellation of a confirmed Tour Flight only booking is subject to:
To HOLD a booking we require 50% payment within 5 days.
Bookings are only CONFIRMED once payment is received in full. Full Payment must be received no less than 60 days ahead of the Tour start date.

Changes to Tour times and dates may be possible, subject to availability. Additional costs may apply.
We recommend that Travel Insurance be taken out to cover any unforeseen cancellations.
All cancellations made by Kingfisher Tours will be fully refunded.
Please be aware that Kingfisher’s Kimberley Explorer Tours are provided by parent company Shoal Air Pty Ltd which is fully certified by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for the conduct of passenger charter flights in Australia.
